Yoga Day Retreats

This can leave us feeling disconnected from our environment, unaware of the subtle natural rhythms and cycles of the earth.

Each season has a different energy and area of focus in the body. We can learn how to connect to this energy and work with it rather than struggling against it. AUTUMN is all about elimination – LETTING GO! The colds and flus that abound in this season simply reflect our body's lack of ability to eliminate. Learn special macrobiotic cold remedies and ways to introduce more fibre and fermented foods into your diet, boosting the efficiency of you colon. Yoga for this season focuses on contraction, the lungs and the large intestine. Bring tone to your belly buttocks and thighs, redefine your waist and strengthen your lower back. Increase your breath awareness and clear your mind.
WINTER is the time to consolidate the bodies energy, to build strength and stability. This season is our chance to
“de-stress” & regenerate. Calm your nervous system, regain balance and find that stillness within. Warm to nourishing meals that re-energise and re-build, enjoy mineral rich foods and long slow cooking methods. The yoga focus is on the spine, building its strength and flexibility. Mother of 3 beautiful children, Tania Elder studied shiatsu and Ryoho Yoga with Andrzej Gospodarczyk back in 1992 and has been sharing her knowledge with the Newport community ever since. Tania started the Newport Ryoho Yoga Centre in 2000, and currently teaches yoga to children and adults in Newport .
Tania is passionate about health and good food and love inspiring others to make positive lifestyle changes.
The Day

Nurture your body and integrate the activities of the day with a soothing relaxation and ginger compress.
